30 years ago NEGAUNEE – Today’s spring storm broke the record for all-time snowiest winter in Marquette County. “It’s official. 30 years ago MARQUETTE – Musician’s Federation Local 218 of the American Federation of Musicians, AFL-CIO, celebrates the 65th anniversary of the granting of its charter Sunday, April 28, with a dinner at the Marquette Elks Club. The local was formed as the Marquette Musicians’ Protective Union April 15, 1931, with eight charter members. Their charter was granted two weeks later by the Federation. 30 years ago MARQUETTE – DynamO, an internationally acclaimed troupe that describes itself as a “theatre of acrobatic movement,” will perform Friday at Kaufman Auditorium in Marquette. DynamO has performed more than 2,000 times for nearly a million people since founding in 1981 – playing everywhere from the Lincoln Center in New York to the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
