30 years ago MARQUETTE – The greenbacks in John Peterson’s hand were crisp and clean and they grabbed the attention of the student body Tuesday morning at the Marquette Senior High School gymnasium. Peterson, the assistant high school principal, officially kicked off the Redmen Renaissance program. The $35 he carried was one of many rewards bestowed upon students who have exhibited excellence or improvement in grades and attendance.
