MARQUETTE – John Anthony, one of the nation’s best-known choral directors, will be bringing his group of New York City area singers to Marquette on Saturday, April 20 to join the Marquette Choral Society in its presentation of “Shout for Joy.” The concert, to feature Easter spirituals from the African-American tradition, will celebrate the Choral Society’s 25th anniversary. “We had a wonderful time with John Anthony and his group during their visit here two years ago,” said 25th Anniversary Committee Chair John Frey. “It was a deeply spiritual as well as great signing experience, and we wanted to capture it again for our 25th anniversary.”
