FROM A NEWS RELEASE NEWBERRY — At approximately 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, deputies from the Luce County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in the 300 block of East John Street in Newberry regarding a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a 47-year-old male victim who had been physically assaulted by a 21-year-old male suspect. A second victim, a 40-year-old male, was located in the yard of the residence suffering from multiple stab wounds.
