ISHPEMING — With construction season ongoing, the organizers of Saturday’s 18th annual Buzz the Gut Car Show and Parade in Ishpeming and Negaunee have announced this year’s parade route:

The group leaves the Cliffs Shaft Mining Museum in Ishpeming and goes around Lake Bancroft to Empire Street then to Main Street. The group travels up Main Street through town to Pearl Street, then from

Pearl to Pine Street up around the Pioneer Bluff Apartments to Bluff Street. From Bluff, it continues to Jasper Street to Division Street and off to Negaunee via M-28.

Coming into Negaunee from Business Route 28 to Iron Street, the group will then travel Iron to Jackson Street and down to Tobin Street. They will take a left on Tobin to Iron Street and then it’s back on Business Route 28 to the Ishpeming Elks.

The full event is Show & Shine from 5-7 p.m. with the parade through Ishpeming and Negaunee starting at 7 p.m.

After the parade, there will be a dance at the Elks featuring the band Swampberry Moonshine. There will also be food and refreshments available. Door prizes will be given out randomly to registered participants. This is a community event with free admission and open to the public.
