While taking a ride down Highway 13 we were surprised to see a new sign at the entrance to Hanley Field located in Wetmore. The airport recently gained monies to improve the facilities. As a photographer in the early days I was commissioned to take aerial pictures of the Alger Maximum Prison and Camp Cusino as they were being built. Mr. McQuisten and Mr. Williams both piloted me. Good ole days.

While many of us stay away from Lake Superior on those beach hazard days some are in their glory and live for these moments. One of the many extreme sports in the U.P. is kitesurfing, also known as kiteboarding. This photo was taken from AuTrain Beach last weekend and provided great entertainment for all.

And riding around town and local beaches is so interesting to see what folks travel in and enjoy their camping experiences. A unique way to repurpose an old school bus.
