Drum and Bugle Corps were popular in the 1960s and 1970s, the Upper Peninsula having several of their own. Munising was home of the Silver Echoes Drum and Bugle Corp and I can say, having two of my children as members, it provided invaluable experiences in camaraderie, travel, discipline and of course the love of music.
