It is with much sadness but gratitude that I am submitting my final column to the Tuesday addition to The Mining Journal. It started out many years ago out of serendipity that I ended up with a weekly column in the Munising News while just submitting random articles. It has been a pleasure putting on the miles around Alger County with my daughter, exploring events and just everyday life for those living in the Upper Peninsula. The gift of photography has served me well professionally while younger and the weekly column in The Mining Journal was a blessing in the transition to retirement and well beyond.
