This is a view of the Alger County Courthouse before the massive fire in November 1978 which took the building down. For several years, after the fire, they had to relocate in various offices in downtown Munising. And since when the building did burn, they had already started an annex to the building. After a vote for additional replacement funds went down, the annex went up and that is now our present courthouse.
