All about TOWN

With Mary Jayne

We just happened upon watching the U.S. Coast Guard ship enter the bay the other day as it appears a couple of times for routine maintenance, such as putting the buoy in place at Sand Point. Shown here, it was located between Sand Point and Grand Island. It appears they had removed the buoy on schedule last November. Navigation can now begin. (Photo courtesy of Mary Jayne Hallifax)
This may seem like a peculiar picture, however I have noticed it more recently and I believe it is because of the local detours that some of these truck drivers may get a little confused and end up on some of these residential streets that are really not part of the detour. However, I am sure, sooner or later they got through town. (Photo courtesy of Mary Jayne Hallifax)
A scene that will soon be changing is this empty street on the main four corners of Munising, deep in the heart of Superior Street and Elm Avenue. With tourism soon to start, this will be a busy area, leading down to the local pier. (Photo courtesy of Mary Jayne Hallifax)
