ISHPEMING — Macey Nault hit a triple and teammate Liz Farley was credited with great fielding as Jack’s Teepee inched up the Class B standings with a 20-11 victory over Pasquali’s in the Iron Range Women’s Softball League on July 28.

For Pasquali’s, Alana Nuorala hit a triple and a double as she went 5 for 5, while Jess Geist homered.

Jack’s moved within a game of second-place Pasquali’s and within two games of division-leading Jasper Ridge Brewery.

Becca LaChapelle tripled as Signs Unlimited scored a 14-9 win over Jasper Ridge, whose Danielle Gomulinski also tripled.

Also in Class B, Sarah Smith homered and added three triples while going 4 for 4 as Globe Printing outscored Quality Car Care 24-18.

The winners’ Cassidy Krueger and Sarah Boogren each homered.

Libbie Doney and Jamee Gobert both hit grand slam homers as Dave’s Collision powered past Martin Sports 29-1.

Vanessa Briones and Lexi Pomplun each homered as 906 Sports Bar bounced Venice-Hickey’s 22-5. Teammates Jordan Kowalski, Thalicia DelAngelo and Danielle Minkel had a triple apiece.

In Class C, Pineshears moved into a tie for the top spot with a tight 18-15 win over U.P. Fabricating.

Toni Tikkanen got the game-winning hit while going 4 for 4 with a double, while teammate Jillian Robinson was also 4 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, Livvie Wood was 3 for 4 with a homer and multiple triples, and Heidi Verville homered.

For UPF, Val Prusi was 3 for 4 with a homer.

Krystal Heikkinen tripled as Willey’s Tire Shop plowed past Palomaki Family Chiropractic 20-4.

In Class A, Dindy Cousineau and Ashley Hughes each hit homers over the fence as Buck’s Party Store upended Heritage Glove Repair 15-9.

For Heritage, Chelsie Katalin tripled.

Also in “A,” strong team play and defense and good hitting were credited in Buster’s 17-1 win over Tino’s.
