4 Marquette Redmen basketball players honored: Marquette’s Jonas Bicik, David Eberhard gain Great Northern Conference boys First Team honors

Guard-forwards Jonas Bicik and David Eberhard made the league’s First Team, taking two of the five positions on the top honor squad.
Another Redmen senior guard-forward, Jordan DeMay, made the Second Team, while a fourth MSHS senior, forward Justin Jurmu, earned Honorable Mention.
League champion Menominee swept the special awards, with senior Aidan Bellisle named Player of the Year, senior Brady Badker the Defensive Player of the Year and Sam Larson the Coach of the Year.
In addition to Marquette and Menominee, the league also includes Escanaba, Gladstone and Kingsford.

The Maroons posted a perfect 8-0 record in varsity league games, while Marquette shares the JV title with Kingsford as each was 6-2 and the Redmen won the freshman crown with an unblemished 8-0 mark.

Special Mention — Brody Kupp, sr., Kingsford; Brody Waara, sr., Menominee; Trevor Brown, sr., Escanaba; Elliot Vitito, soph., Gladstone
