Four earn Prince of Peace scholarships

Four young people were recently awarded the Prince of Peace Scholarship Award in the amount of $750 each. They are Jacob Schlemm and Alexander Schlemm, left photo, and Austin Ridl and Paige Britton, right photo. Paige will be starting her second years at Northern Michigan University where she made the dean’s list her first semester. She also plays for the NMU women’s soccer team. Area students earn honors, graduate from universities

MARQUETTE — A number of area residents have received honors or have graduated from college in recent months. St. Norbert College held its commencement ceremony on May 15 outdoors on the college’s De Pere, Wisconsin, campus. Faith Toutant of Negaunee was one of 508 students in the 2022 graduating class, including 490 candidates for baccalaureate degrees and 18 candidates for master’s degrees.
