Mackinac Straits Corridor Authority to meet Aug. 28 in St. Ignace

IGNACE - The Mackinac Straits Corridor Authority, the state agency tasked with overseeing construction, maintenance and operation of a controversial, proposed utility tunnel beneath the Straits of Mackinac, will meet Aug. 28 in St. Ignace. Stabbing investigated, suspect in custody

ST. IGNACE — An apparent verbal altercation between a pair of 18-year-olds ended with one of them stabbing the other at a Moran Township location, according to the Michigan State Police. A suspect is in custody following an investigation into the stabbing that took place Friday, Lt. Ben Eckola, Eighth District public information officer, said in a written statement.
