The Marquette Arts & Music Wellness Lions Club will hold its celebration from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Blackrocks Brewery on North Third Street in Marquette. MARQUETTE — The Chipp, a new 14-unit workforce housing development at Chippewa Square in south Marquette, is now leasing. The project is the first housing development in the city to use Marquette’s brownfield and tax increment financing plans, helping make the project more financially feasible while keeping a focus on attainable housing. Book launch planned for Marquette

MARQUETTE — At 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 26, a book party and cookie potluck will take place at U.P. Supply Co., 221 W. Washington St., in support of "U.P. Dream Days," an idiosyncratic guide to Michigan's Upper Peninsula published in February of this year. Rather than a standard travel guide, "U.P. State treasury: Individual income tax hits

MARQUETTE — The Michigan Department of Treasury has announced that 95% of individual income tax returns have been completed for the filing season, representing a key milestone for the tax filing season that opened on Jan. 26. The 95% achievement represents that most tax returns received before the April 15 filing deadline have been processed. As of June 8, Treasury processed more than 5.12 million individual income tax returns and issued over $3.43 billion in refunds since the filing season opened on January 26.
