MANISTIQUE — A 39-year-old man from Manistique has been located deceased, which was the cause of the temporary closure of the Manistique East Breakwater Lighthouse and nearby areas yesterday, May 27, 2026. The preliminary investigation indicates no signs of foul play; however, the investigation is ongoing. The lighthouse and park areas have been reopened.
