Board of Review session for July coming up

MARQUETTE — The board of review for the city of Marquette will meet at 9 a.m. July 21 in city commission chambers of Marquette City Hall, 300 W. Baraga Ave., Marquette, for the following purposes: 1. Request for current year only for poverty exemptions, but not poverty exemptions denied by the March Board of Review. 2. Correct clerical errors or mutual mistake of facts. All required forms and documentation shall be received five days prior to said meeting.

National Park Foundation awards $1.2 Million to support youth, community fishing

MUNISING — The National Park Foundation recently announced a record $1.2 million in grants to support Junior Ranger Angler programming across the country. July DDA special meeting noted

MARQUETTE — The Marquette Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors will hold a special meeting on Thursday, July 23, to review the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget. The meeting will take place beginning at 8 a.m. at the Marquette Commons, 112 S. Third St. There will be two options for public participation: in person or written. Written comments can be submitted by emailing tara@downtownmarquette.org. Written submissions will be accepted until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22.
