MARQUETTE -- The Lake Superior Community Partnership assisted Body Therapy Center with an anniversary celebration on Sept. 30, recognizing the business’s eighth year in operation, its first anniversary at its current location inside the Peninsula Medical Center, and the introduction of RAPID NeuroFascial Reset, a specialized therapeutic technique for pain-related conditions.

Body Therapy Center, located at 1414 W. Fair Ave., Suite 221 in Marquette, was founded in 2018 by Rod Gates, LMT. Following a career in medicine as an anesthesiologist, Gates transitioned to massage therapy to continue his lifelong passion for health and wellness. Since opening, he has pursued advanced training focused on helping clients find relief from acute and chronic pain.

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset is a hands-on therapeutic technique designed to reduce or eliminate pain by resetting the nervous system’s overprotective response to pain signals. The treatment is especially effective for migraines, tension headaches, low back pain, and other pain-related conditions. While RAPID is available in only a limited number of locations throughout Michigan, BTC is excited to introduce the technique to clients in the Marquette area.

In addition to RAPID NeuroFascial Reset, BTC offers specialized scar therapy using microcurrent therapy and ACE™ Cupping Therapy. These treatments help improve scar healing, reduce chronic pain, decrease swelling, and restore mobility for individuals recovering from mastectomies, breast reconstruction, C-sections, joint replacements, tummy tucks and other surgical procedures, whether the surgery was recent or decades ago.

Gates has also completed advanced training in oncology massage, allowing him to support patients during and after cancer treatment safely. His approach combines extensive medical knowledge with advanced therapeutic massage techniques to provide individualized care for every client.
