Gas prices dip slightly

MARQUETTE — Average gasoline prices in Michigan have fallen 0.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.92/g today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 4,913 stations in Michigan. Prices in Michigan are 24.7 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 66.0 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has increased 9.6 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $4.854 per gallon. According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Michigan was priced at $3.39/g yesterday while the most expensive was $5.74/g, a difference of $2.35/g. ...

Quilters plan bi-annual show

MARQUETTE — The Marquette County Quilters Association (MCQA) is proud to present the bi- annual 2026 Autumn Comforts Quilt Show at Ojibwa Casino in Harvey. This event will be from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 and from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4. Admission will be $5.
