The Marquette-Alger Farmers Market, an informal group of about 15 gardeners and farmers from the two-county area, will ask the Marquette County Board for permission tonight. Charlie Drury scored on a trophy buck just 9 minutes after sunrise on opening day of the season. AT 8 a.m., he brought down a magnificent 200-pound, 10-pointer. He shot the whitetail from about 60 yards with a .30-06-caliber rifle. The cooperative deer ran more than 100 feet toward Charlie’s nearby truck before collapsing. ...
