Wildcat golfers place 16th
MARQUETTE – The Northern Michigan University men’s golf team placed 16th of 31 squads entered in the two-day NCAA Great Lakes Regional IV at Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, Indiana, that concluded Monday.
The Wildcats finished with a 603 score, including a 307 on the second day. NMU sophomores Emil Lundgren and Dustin Dishaw each had totals of 150 to tie for 42nd place.
Lundgren shot a 79 on the second day, while Dishaw had 77.
Wildcat freshman Austin Elsner shot a team low score of 73 on the second day, finishing with 151 for a tie for 51st. Sophomore Hunter Mires carded 78 on the second day to post 154 and tie for 85th. NMU senior Ayrton Mantha shot 79 to finish at 155 to tie for 92nd.
