MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University senior guard Alyssa Colla has been named the GLIAC North Division Player of the Week.

Collar averaged 20.5 points in the Wildcats’ road wins over Tiffin (Ohio) and Ohio Dominican over the weekend.

She scored a game-high 26 points in Northern’s 83-70 win over Tiffin and added 15 in NMU’s 63-47 victory over Ohio Dominican. Colla shot 46.7 percent from the floor on the weekend, connected on 60 percent of her 3-point shots and sank 10 of 12 free throws. Colla leads NMU and ranks second in the league with 19.2 points per game.

NMU returns home this week when it hosts Ashland (Ohio) at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Lake Erie at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Berry Events Center.
