Hunter education course set in Skandia

SKANDIA — The West Branch Sportsmen’s Club will offer a combined hunter safety education and international bow hunting classes in May.

The six sessions will be held at the group’s clubhouse from 6 to 9 p.m. on May 1, 6, 7, 8 and 9, along with a field day there to be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 11. Students must attend all six sessions to help achieve hunter education certification.

The clubhouse is located on Engman Lake Road, a mile south of M-94 west of Skandia.

The class is open to students 10 years old and older and 10-year-olds must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Class size is limited to 30. Information required are name, birthdate, contact person and phone number.
