Marquette Redettes girls soccer team comes back for 3-1 win at Houghton
HOUGHTON — The Marquette Senior High School girls soccer team pulled off a big second-half comeback to defeat Houghton 3-1 on Tuesday evening.
Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Redettes scored three unanswered goals to improve to 2-3-2 this season. Marquette got on the scoreboard when senior Adyson Goodney converted a penalty kick about midway through the second half.
Just a few minutes later, fellow MSHS senior Bella Lorens scored what proved to be the game-winner off a pass from yet another senior, Sydney Osbourne.
Then after that, Osbourne provided an insurance goal off a long-range pass from sophomore Siena Goodney.
