Paula Humphrey

Paula was born on December 23, 1969, in Detroit, Michigan. She was raised and lived in Marquette, Michigan, a 1987 graduate of Marquette Senior High School. Upon graduating, Paula attended Northern Michigan University and Notre Dame. Paula’s dream of being a mother came true when she and her former spouse Dan Humphrey had their two children, Darren, and Jacob Humphrey.

Paula was very talented and blessed with a great eye for interior design and decorating. While she was primarily a stay-at-home mother, she would also work alongside her brother, Erik and father, Paul Uimari, an architect. She loved spending summer days at the beach, as well as being in the company of close friends, her family, and two boys. Paula was a wonderful, loving mother and was a very prideful homemaker.

Paula is survived by her two children, Darren Humphrey of Ishpeming; Jacob Humphrey of Marquette; mother, Diane (Tremblay) Uimari; siblings Ray (Cathy) Uimari of Marquette, Eric (Sherry) Uimari of Marquette, Lara (Scott) Jackman of Breckenridge, CO; and many nieces, a nephew, and cousins.

Paula is preceded in death by her father, Paul Uimari.

Paula’s funeral service will be held this Friday, September 6, 2024 at St. Louis the King Catholic Church in Harvey. Visitation will take place from 10-12, with a funeral mass beginning at 12 with Rev. Tom Merkel officiating. A luncheon will follow the mass. Interment will take place at a later date.
