Sylvia Marie Barclay

Born December 7th, 1921, in Marquette, a daughter of Ernest and Helvi (Killinen) Hannula, Sylvia was raised in Marquette and graduated from Graveraet High School with the Class of 1940.

Sylvia was a loving and devoted homemaker, wife, and mother who enjoyed cooking, baking, dancing, sewing, camping, working puzzles, and tending to her beautiful flower gardens. She led an active life and, even in advanced age, exhibited a great deal of vitality. She was one determined and energetic lady.

Sylvia is survived by her son, Duane (Rose) Barclay; granddaughter, Rebecca (Marc) Barclay-Flodquist and great-granddaughter, Ida Flodquist, all of Minnesota.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Barclay; sisters, Bertha Hannula and Linnea Roblin; her brother, Paul and special friend, Don Lawry.

Services will be scheduled for a later date and will be announced.
