Appearing before Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi for sentencing June 15:

≤ Jacob Michael Pelletier, 25, of 441 Mustang St., Gwinn, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with credit for 110 days served, given 12 months probation and ordered to pay fines and costs of $656. Pelletier pleaded guilty April 13 to controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine.

≤ Carroll Shane Spires, 43, of 105 Cherry Creek, Marquette, was sentenced to 18 months to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay fines and costs of $198. Spires pleaded no contest April 12 to assault with intent to commit sexual penetration.

≤ Cassandra Lynn McKelvie, 30, of 310 Fisher St., Marquette, was sentenced to 360 days in jail, with 270 days to be served upfront, with balance deferred and credit for 123 days served.

McKelvie pleaded guilty May 4 to one count of carjacking, attempt.

Appearing for arraignment June 8 before Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi:

≤ Justin James Brackett, 25, of 520 Sterling Road, Kingsford, pleaded guilty to one count of lying to a peace officer, four year or more crime investigation, a two-year high court misdemeanor. The charge stems from an Aug. 20 incident in Republic Township. Brackett was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 17.

≤ Leonard Joseph Poquette, 26, of 221 Hemlock St., Kingsford, pleaded guilty to one count of lying to a peace officer, four year or more crime investigation, a two-year high court misdemeanor. The charge stems from an Oct. 27 incident in Republic township. Poquette was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 17.

≤ Brandon Lee Schiefel, 24, of 348 Second St., Ishpeming, pleaded guilty to one count of weapons, carrying concealed, a five-year felony and one count of controlled substance use, a one-year misdemeanor. The charges stem from a May 19 incident in Ishpeming. Schiefel was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 17.

≤ Steven Thomas Taylor, 35, pleaded guilty to one count of controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy, a 10-year felony. The charge stems from an April 5 incident in Marquette Township. Taylor was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 17.

≤ Tyler Scott Yelle, 31, of 777 Pioneer Road, Lot 198, Marquette, pleaded guilty to one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, felonious assault, a four-year felony. The charge stems from a Dec. 10 incident in Negaunee. Yelle was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 3.

Appearing for arraignment June 15 before Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi:

≤ Jessica Nicole Crawford, 35, of 236 Mangum Road, Marquette, pleaded guilty to one count of operating while intoxicated, second offense notice, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail. The charge stems from a March 6 incident in Marquette. Crawford was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 17

≤ Jessica Nicole Crawford, 35, of 33 Sicotte Road, Marquette, pleaded guilty to one count of controlled substance, possession/analogues, a two-year felony. The charge stems from a June 17 incident in Chocolay Township. Crawford was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 17.

≤ Bernard Charles Duquette, 49, of 2228 Fitch Ave., Marquette, pleaded guilty to one count of retail fraud, first degree, a five-year felony. The charge stems from a Dec. 19 incident in Marquette Township. Duquette was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 17.

≤ Rachel Elizabeth Kurian, 22, of 197 N. High St., Gwinn, pleaded guilty to one count of home invasion, third degree, a five-year felony. The charge stems from a Jan. 28 incident in Forsyth Township. Kurian was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 17.

≤ Christopher Warren Maki, 23, of 777 Pioneer Road, Lot 146, Marquette, pleaded guilty to one count of financial transaction device, stealing/retaining without consent, a four-year felony. The charge stems from a March 28 incident in Marquette Township.

Maki also pleaded guilty to one count of attempted police officer assault/resisting/obstructing, a one-year misdemeanor. The charge stems from a May 29 incident in Marquette. Maki was scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 17.
