McMorrow voters can still vote in August Senate primary

MICHIGAN — On Sunday, candidate Mallory McMorrow (D) announced that she would be suspending her campaign for U.S. Senate. However, by Sunday some voters had already received and filled out their absentee ballots for the election and voted for McMorrow. Meth conspirator sentenced 

HOUGHTON — Forty-two year old Houghton County man Joshua LaCasse was sentenced to serve 9 to 20 years in a Michigan state prison Monday for delivery and manufacturing of methamphetamine.  LaCasse was arraigned in February on one count of delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine, one count of racketeering and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. LaCasse pleaded guilty to the meth-related charge. The other charges were dropped by the prosecution in exchange for the guilty plea.
