MARQUETTE -- Celtic music trio, The Knockabouts, are performing at 6:30 p.m. Friday, in the Marquette Maritime Museum’s Stannard Rock Boathouse, located in Lighthouse Park, just off the bike path and behind the old U.S. Coast Guard Station.
Barb Rhyneer (fiddle, vocals), Tim DeMarte (Bodhran, vocals) and Daniel Truckey (guitar, bouzouki, vocals) will perform a set of tunes rooted in the maritime music tradition, including sea shanties from the Great Lakes and the Seven Seas, instrumentals, and originals.
The museum will provide chairs in the boathouse, or you can bring your own chair and sit outside to listen. There is no admission for this concert, but donations are accepted.
