Pet handling class coming up

MARQUETTE — SuperiorLand Pet Partners will offer a handler’s class May 25 in Marquette. The class is for individuals interested in volunteering with their animal as a pet therapy team and is the first step in training, testing and registering with international pet therapy group, Pet Partners. 30 years ago MARQUETTE — When Louis Getz opened his clothing and dry goods store in downtown Marquette 108 years ago, he called it the Bee Hive. “He intends to make this store swarm with customers, by treating them to the honey of low prices.” The Mining Journal reported in a Feb. 2 story that year about the store’s opening.
