Food truck coming to Harvey

HARVEY — Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift are partnering with Feeding America West Michigan to host a Mobile Food Pantry. Distribution will take place at Silver Creek Church, 219 Silver Creek Road in Harvey, on Thursday, July 9. Food distribution will begin at 10 a.m. and continue while supplies last or until 11:30 a.m. Food will be available for approximately 600 families. M-38 carpool lot project starts today 
in Ontonagon County

GREENLAND — The Michigan Department of Transportation is underwriting a $120,000 project to pave a carpool lot at the M-38/M-26 intersection in Ontonagon County, providing a safe and convenient parking location. The tentative project starting date is today and the estimated ending date is 
Monday, July 20. 
The existing lot will be closed during construction. This investment is expected to directly and indirectly support one job.

M-77 detoured for emergency culvert repairs in Schoolcraft County starting today

NEWBERRY — The Michigan Department of Transportation will be making emergency repairs to the M-77 culvert at Lake Ann Louise, north of Blaney Park in Schoolcraft County beginning today. The project is expected to be completed by July 31. M-77 will be closed at the culvert, with northbound and southbound traffic between M-28 and US 2 detoured via M-117. The detour is expected to be in place until July 23. Work will stabilize a concrete culvert damaged by water and restore the pavement.
