July DDA special meeting noted

MARQUETTE — The Marquette Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors will hold a special meeting on Thursday, July 23, to review the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget. The meeting will take place beginning at 8 a.m. at the Marquette Commons, 112 S. Third St. There will be two options for public participation: in person or written. Written comments can be submitted by emailing tara@downtownmarquette.org. Written submissions will be accepted until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22.

M-35 culvert project detour starts July 20

ISHPEMING ­- The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing about $3.6 million to replace a culvert on M-35 over Warner Creek north of Palmer in Marquette County. Work includes replacing the existing structure with a concrete box culvert, asphalt rebuilding and pavement markings, extending the lifespan of the roadway and increasing safety for motorists. The tentative starting date for the project is July 20 and the estimated ending date is mid-August. 
Motorists should expect one lane of alternating traffic with a temporary signal starting July 20.

Partridge Creek Farm announces 2026 Farm-to-School summer camp dates in Ishpeming

ISHPEMING — Partridge Creek Farm has announced that registration is now open for the 2026 Farm to School Summer Camp in Ishpeming. Parents and guardians with Marquette County students entering 5th-8th grade are invited to register for the Summer Camp through PCF’s website, PartridgeCreekFarm.org/summercamp.
