Pianist Daniel will bring spring to Crystal Theatre

CRYSTAL FALLS – After inclement spring weather delayed the start of the 2026 “Gem of a Season,” Crystal Theatre is excited to roll its grand piano into the spotlight and welcome its first performer, Phillip Daniel at 7 p.m. CDT Friday, May 8.

Originating from Lincoln, Nebraska, Daniel is a distinguished pianist and composer whose musical scores have been featured in masterful dance programs and numerous films. Merging classical elements with cinematic qualities, and merging piano with electronics and percussion, his compositions resonate with both seasoned musicians and casual listeners.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Hastings College and a Masters Degree in Piano Performance from the University, Kansas City Conservatory.

In addition to his solo piano performance projects, Daniel has established a career writing music for dance. Most recently, he has worked with the Kansas City Ballet Company. His music has been listened to more than 100 million times and has been featured in countless films worldwide.

In addition to advanced tickets for this show, 8-event and 4-event Flex Passes are available to purchase at discounted prices. Tickets may be purchased online at thecrystaltheatre.org or by phone at 906-875-3208. The concert with The Knockabouts, which had to be postponed twice due to weather, has been rescheduled for Oct. 24.
