DIISD Technology Center $6.4M project to begin renovations
IRON MOUNTAIN — This summer, the Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District Technology Center will begin a $6.4 million renovation, with most of the work scheduled across two construction seasons.
The project will modernize the nearly 50-year-old facility through updated classrooms, a new HVAC system, roof replacement, added insulation, improved security, a fire suppression system and redesigned student spaces that better support learning experiences.
The work will make the building more efficient, safer and better aligned with the state-of-the-art equipment already used in programs ranging from welding and automotive technology to health occupations and marketing.
This investment will help the tech center continue to prepare students for high-demand careers across the region.
