Silver Creek Thrift grand re-opening set

HARVEY – Silver Creek Thrift has announced its grand re-opening at a new, expanded location from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at 190 W. Wright Place, in Harvey.

Originally opened on Oct. 1, 2014, Silver Creek Thrift is an outreach ministry of Silver Creek Church. Over the years, it has become a resource for the community, offering affordable clothing and household items while supporting local outreach efforts.

The move to the former Family Dollar building marks a new chapter, allowing for more space, improved shopping experience and continued growth in serving the community.

To celebrate the grand re-opening, the first 100 customers will receive a special gift. The public is invited to stop in, explore the new space, and be part of the celebration.

Proceeds and donations from Silver Creek Thrift directly support several community outreach programs, including monthly Feeding America mobile food pantries, a fixed food pantry, Backpack SOS, Operation Winter Wear and a voucher program for individuals and families facing challenging life circumstances.

Starting at $3.23/week.
