ESCANABA — Bay de Noc Community College’s Food Pantry recently received a $1,000 donation from Immanuel Lutheran Church, made possible through proceeds from the church’s Annual Lenten Breakfast.

The check was presented to Kari Meunier, director of Accessibility and Special Populations at Bay College, by Barbara Denny, president of the Immanuel Lutheran Church women’s group, and Linda McDonald, chairwoman of the program, “Wonderful His Love for Me.”

The donation will directly support the Food Pantry’s ongoing efforts to provide essential resources to students facing food insecurity.

The Bay College Food Pantry serves students across both the Escanaba and Iron Mountain campuses, helping to remove barriers to student success by ensuring access to nutritious food and household essentials.

Contributions like this play a critical role in sustaining services and expanding support to meet growing needs within the college community.

“We are incredibly grateful to Immanuel Lutheran Church for their continued support,” said Meunier. “Partnerships like this make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and reinforce the strength of our community coming together to support one another.”

The Annual Lenten Breakfast is a long-standing tradition at Immanuel Lutheran Church, bringing community members together while raising funds for local initiatives. This year’s contribution reflects the church’s ongoing commitment to service and outreach.

Starting at $3.23/week.
