CEDAR RIVER — This year’s Cedar River BridgeWalk has taken place 33 times since its inception in 1984 and is now in its 14th year of its revival.

The Cedar River BridgeWalk will take place on Saturday of Labor Day weekend, Aug. 30. Organizers will again have the Tommy Bolen Memorial Joke Contest awarding Halfway Bar and Grill gift certificates of $50 for first place, $30 for second and $20 for third.

The day’s activities are as follows (approximate, CDT):

• 10 a.m…….Music by a real Disney World musician at the Township Hall near the Cedar River Harbor

• 10:45 a.m….Opening ceremonies at the Township Hall

• 11 a.m…….Start of BridgeWalk2025 over the Cedar River to the Halfway Bar and Grill

• 11 a.m…….Music by Josh Friedland Band, at the music stage in back yard of the Halfway Bar and Grill

• 11 a.m…….Chicken-Shit-Bingo and 50/50 raffles held throughout the day at the Halfway

• 12:30 p.m….Tommy Bolen Memorial Joke Contest, music stage

Expect a wide variety of vendors at the Halfway Bar and Grill, hamburgers, brats, hotdogs, and a variety of cold beverages.

The Cedar River BridgeWalk2025 is a fundraiser for the Cedarville Township Volunteer Fire Department, Cedar River Chapel, catered/sponsored by the Halfway Bar and Grill.
