Community schools graduates 29 students

ISHPEMING — On May 13, at St. John’s School in Ishpeming, 29 students received their high school diplomas from the Ishpeming-Negaunee-NICE Adult and Alternative Education Program. During the 58 years of service, the program has graduated 1,792 adults, according to Community Schools Director William Hartman.

Graduate speakers for the class of 2026 were Lora Longtine Houghton of the Negaunee Public School District and Rheah Ace Payne of the NICE Community School District. Hartman and Principal Jason Houle presented diplomas and Pete Dishnow, INN Community Schools teacher, served as master of ceremonies.
