Germain to remain with organization through search, transition process
Christopher Germain
MARQUETTE — The Lake Superior Community Partnership has announced a planned leadership transition, with CEO Christopher Germain stepping away from the role in 2026 to meet what have been termed evolving family needs.
The transition is in partnership with the LSCP Board of Directors to ensure continuity, stability and continued progress for the organization.
“This is a planned and well-managed transition,” said Scott Knaffla, chair of the LSCP Board of Directors. “Christopher’s advance notice and commitment to remain through the process puts the LSCP in a position of strength. Our organization is stable, our team is strong, and our strategic direction is clear. We are confident in our ability to continue delivering results for our members and the broader Marquette County community.”
Noted Germain: “This was a personal decision driven by family considerations, but one I’ve approached thoughtfully and with the organization’s best interests in mind LSCP is in a strong place, and I remain fully committed to leading the organization through this transition. This is not a pause moment–our team will continue implementing improvements, advancing key initiatives, and supporting our members and communities every step of the way.”
Germain will remain in his role throughout the search and transition process, continuing to lead the organization, support the team, and advance LSCP’s strategic priorities. The board has initiated a formal search for the next CEO, with a focus on identifying a leader who can build on LSCP’s strong foundation and momentum.
More information about the CEO search process is available at www.marquette.org/ceosearch, and the LSCP will provide updates as they become available. LSCP Partners will also have opportunities to be involved in the process.
