Land Conservancy Grants
MARQUETTE — The Upper Peninsula Land Conservancy, based in Marquette, has been awarded $10,000 from the Land Trust Alliance for several projects. They are collaboration with local indigenous communities for strategic conservation planning for $7,500 and Dead River Community Forest acquisition for $2,500. Other land conservancies awarded in the U.P. awarded grants were the Lake Superior Watershed Conservancy, based in Sault Ste.
