Legion fish fry Friday

MARQUETTE — American Legion Post 44, 700 W. Bluff St., Marquette, will have fish fry from 5-7 p.m. Friday.

On the menu, whitefish, shrimp or chicken strips and choice of baked potato or french fries. Salad bar is included with all meals.

The public is invited. This will be the last fish fry until September.

Turkey dinner at Elks

MARQUETTE — Marquette Elks Lodge 405 will be featuring Fran’s turkey dinner with all the “fixins” plus dessert from 4-7 p.m. Saturday.

All proceeds from this dinner benefit the Elks Scholarship Fund. The public is welcome.

The dinner is $13 per person with kids 5 and under free.

The Elk’s Lodge in Marquette is located at 127 N. Front St.

Community dinner at Hope Free

ISHPEMING — Everyone is invited to join in for Pasty Pie at the monthly Community Dinner at Hope Free Lutheran Church in west Ishpeming.

The dinner is at 5 p.m. Sunday. The meal is free of charge and everyone is welcome to attend for a time of fellowship and food. There will also be a food pantry available for those in need.

ISHPEMING — The Superior Chapter of Michigan Education Association Retired will meet at the MEA office in Ishpeming at 10 a.m. Monday.

State Rep. Sara Cambensy, D-Marquette, will be speaking on legislative issues.
