During Teacher Appreciation Week, celebrated nationally the first week in May, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my education colleagues who tirelessly dedicate themselves to both traditional and virtual instruction. As an instructor at Republic-Michigamme Schools and with Michigan Virtual, I have the privilege of witnessing the hard work and commitment that educators pour into their roles every day.

In today’s dynamic educational landscape, providing flexible pathways for students while maintaining solid relationships is paramount. I am continually inspired by the dedication of my fellow educators in fostering meaningful connections with students, regardless of the learning environment.

Let us take this week to honor and celebrate the invaluable contributions of teachers everywhere. Their dedication, passion, and unwavering support are the foundation of our educational system and the key to shaping a brighter future for generations to come.
