MDOT projects start Monday

ISHPEMING — A pair of Michigan Department of Transportation projects will launch Monday, according to MDOT officials. In the first, MDOT will spend about $153,000 to replace a culvert on M-28 east of South Agate Road in Ontonagon County. The culvert has reached the end of its service life. The work includes backfill, slope restoration and repaving, which will extend the lifespan of the roadway and increasing safety for motorists.
