HOUGHTON — The Houghton County Circuit Courtroom was filled with prospective jurors Monday, there for the trial Jeffry Glaster. However the proceedings ended before they had begun as the jury was dismissed. The 46-year old Houghton County man had pleaded not guilty to first-degree criminal sexual misconduct and home invasion for a 2024 incident. However, moments before jury selection was set to begin, Glaster accepted a plea agreement ending the court proceedings. Choral society to begin holiday concert rehearsals

MARQUETTE — The Marquette Choral Society will begin rehearsals for its December concert of Holiday Favorites on Aug. 24, in the Northern Michigan University Thomas Fine Arts Building.
