30 years ago MARQUETTE — Volunteers are being invited to plant flowers in the eighth annual Petunia Pandemonium Saturday morning in south Marquette. About 23,000 petunias will be planted along U.S. 41 South at the entry to town, beginning at 10 a.m. A practice planting session for children will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Women’s center. Each youngster will be able to pot a petunia and take it home. The event is sponsored by the Marquette Beautification and Restoration Committee. ESCANABA – Residents of Delta County will vote for four seats on the Bay de Noc Community College Board of Trustees in the Nov. 3 general election. The positions held by Nicholas M. Chenier, Wendy B.
