MARQUETTE — Oberstar Inc. will be completing restoration work of the concrete crosswalk on East Washington Street at the Lakeshore Boulevard intersection, which will require a full road closure for the installation and curing of the concrete. Traffic signal at M-26/Canal Road intersection in Houghton to go into full operation

HOUGHTON ­- The Michigan Department of Transportation will switch the traffic signal on M-26 at Canal Road in Houghton from flash mode into full operation on Monday, May 11.  The signal will display green, amber and red phases for all directions beginning at 6 a.m. Monday. MDOT urges drivers to be aware of these signal changes and use caution when approaching the intersection. The department has been monitoring the intersection for several years. MARQUETTE — The Marquette Alternative High School is hosting a Run for the Trees: Happy Little 5K today. The course will begin at the Presque Isle Pavilion and head south on the foot path along Peter White Drive toward the city multi-use path connection at Peter White Drive and Lakeshore Boulevard.
