Courtney Reider of Marquette was recently recognized by the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes for her attainment of the Girl Scout Gold Award. The Girl Scout Gold Award, only available to girls in high school, represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouts. Courtney contributed over 80 hours toward her Gold Award project that included activities which acknowledged veteran’s service, building flag boxes and education to students and teachers about flag etiquette. Courtney was also the recipient of a GSNWGL Academic Scholarship.
