MARQUETTE – The Northern Michigan University athletic department is inviting Wildcats football fans to pregame tailgate get-togethers at three upcoming home games.

Each tailgate will last from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. before home games this Saturday and on Sept. 24 and Oct. 1.

A paid tailgate-style buffet will be provided by Northern Michigan Dining Services and Simply Superior. Students with a meal plan can use their meal swipe to pay. Inflatable games and other forms of entertainment are also scheduled. Fans are also invited to set up their own tailgate parties.

For this Saturday, Econo Foods will serve ice cream with the Wildcats’ Youth Sports Days promotion. Kids ages 13 and under can get in free if they wear a jersey or other team gear.
