ISHPEMING — The annual River Rock Lanes Match Play Championship will be held at the Ishpeming bowling center on Saturday, Oct. 20.

First place in this scratch — no handicap — U.S. Bowling Congress-sanctioned tournament is set for $500 based on 30 entries. Second place would pay $400 down to eighth place paying $75.

It starts at 2 p.m. and entry fee is $70.

Entrants bowl four games across four pairs of lanes, with the top 12 bowlers advancing to three games of match play with scores carrying over.

The top five go on to the TV-style, stepladder finals.
