Gladstone Soo Line steam engine authority are non profit

The Gladstone Michigan Soo Line Steam Engine #730 Authority met recently in front of the historic train engine to celebrate their completion of the process to become a fully exempt non-profit under Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c) (3) Organization. According to authority President John Pickard, “This was an important step toward securing more funding and grants toward the continued upkeep and preservation to continue along the highway and to provide stability to the structure and surrounding grounds. This non-profit status will let donors’ move toward a fulfillment goal and offer them all the tax advantages of charitable giving.” Donations can be made to the day to day un endowed fund or the long term perpetual care endowment fund through the Community Foundation for Delta County. 2420 1st Ave. South, Escanaba, Michigan. 49837.
